Hi all,I am new here and I want to ask you for your opinions about software testing tools. My goal is to choose one of them and install it in my company, unfortunatelly I know only Rational products. If you are so kind and make for me short list of avaluable products (most popular) and your opinion about them - or maybe there is some list like that avaluable? If so, please send me a link. I know that my request could be funny for some of you, but asking you seems to be the best solution - I don't know where exactly I should search (internet searching isn't the most helpful). Thanks for all answers, Pawel. ------------------

If Rational works for you why not use them. Also look in the download section under whitepapers there is a tools evaluation there ------------------

Check out these sites too: www.stickyminds.com www.qacity.com Or pick up a copy of Automated Software Testing, by Elfriede Dustin, et al. She's written quite a bit in there about how to select a tool.

Hi Pawel,The above are great leads. Also try to get a copy of the book Automated Software Testing. There is an appendix (B) for "Tools That Support the Automated Testing Life Cycle". It could give you a starting point because it breaks down the activities and lists a variety of tools that are available. And you're right - the internet is sometimes not the friendliest place to start a search if you don't already have some good URL's quote: Pawel said: ... Hi! Many type of testing tools are available in the market. Compuware, Mercury Interactive & Seague are more competitive players in the test automation other than Rational. Why are you want change...? Any reason for that..
