My company is in the process of trying to determine what the steps are and how long it will take to implement and begin using Automated Testing Tools. We are looking at using Compuware's QACenter and FileAid C/S along with Mercury's XRunner.

If anyone can provide information on how they managed the implementation of their Testing tools and how long it took, I would appreciate it.

I know no one has replied to this yet, but I have found some information that might help others looking for advice on implementing automated testing tools. Check out the book "Software Test Automation: Effective use of test execution tools" by Mark Fewster and Dorothy Graham. The info is in Chapter 11.
