Is this documented anywhere?

Responses from their suppor team as to what is available for free and what is not. If it's incorrect, then I got incorrect information.

The whole WAS tool is 'Free' there are no restrictions regarding number of Users or Client boxes it can be installed on. The limiting factor is the capacity of the Client box(es) (as with all of the other tools). If you have dismissed this tool in the past on the basis of number of users supported, I would take another look. I do not currently use it as it does not support 'url rewriting', but I have used it in the past and I am certain I will use it again.

I recommend you check out WebPartner's web-based Stress Testing tool. We use our hardware to apply the load. So you don't need to configure and maintain additional hardware. Deploys rapidly. Easy to use.

You can also check out SilkPerformer from Segue. SilkPerformer has one of the smallest footprints (of the major tool vendors) on the market and is widely known for being extremely accurate and reliable. Check it out: http://www.segue.com/html/s_solutions/s_performer/s_performer.htm
(There are pdfs here to download)

If you like what you see, call us at 1-800-287-1329 or email me and I will put you in contact with a Segue sales rep.

Good luck with your evaluation!
